Behind the Shoot

After endless calls and emails for product pullouts and follow-ups came the most exciting part - the shoot! The early Thursday morning began with prepping the models, putting outfits together and shooting products all in a wide function room in SM Megamall (we’re currently creating the Christmas issue of SM Shop Mag).

The day prior, Andy, the editorial assistant, told me to brace myself for the stress. I didn’t see where the pressure came in though (because I was blinded by all the shoes). It wasn’t until the end of the day that I realized she was talking about the running back and forth the long stretch of MEGAmall with shopping bags in hand to return all the pullouts before the stores closed at 9pm. Jas even took out the cart and wheeled it like a madman! They’re right in saying a lot of work is put into creating the glossy pages. Haha. It was a fab experience, a sweet break from the short film shoots for school (which we have to get back to for our final project!). :)
