Fam Bam Thursday

While the girls were at school, the ‘rents and I went over to Uncle Cheffy at Molito for lunch. We ordered chili garlic prawns, ribs and all meat barbequed panizza! I just ate the pizza itself though. Teehee, forever choosy. So crispy thin! I think I’ll be craving for them again all weekend.

And then we found some little people at home:

hearty breakfast

At 10 in the morning, I woke up to the smell of pancakes wafting into my room and then knew I wouldn’t be going back to sleep. I haven’t been not used to breakfast as an actual meal anymore ever since I moved to the dorm (unless you count the occasional ten-minutes-before-class-shove-bowl-of-oatmeal-in-microwave-faster-im-late breakfast) so it was a treat being home early for the weekend!

Mom took out the heart-shaped cutter and we all took turns frying our own pancakes. And of course there was bacon. Bacon.

Home this Christmas

Food, glorious, food! (A Marquez gathering would never be complete without shrimp!) The entire family came over for a triple celebration - from Lola’s 72nd birthday to Tita Tin and Tito Gary’s anniversary, and of course, Christmas! It was a night of singing, dougie dancing and eating. Mom sure knows how to prepare a feast!

My fave freshly baked bread rolls.

Butter in Christmas shapes!

Mom makes the best creamy leche flan.

I don’t know what started this. But we do it for the pictures every year. Haha. I love my family! ♥ Spending New Year’s Eve with them again later! :)

Eight Years

Instead of joining the crowds that flocked memorial parks last week, my parents decided to visit my brother today. It’s been eight years since eight-year-old Jerome passed, after which God blessed us unexpectedly with two lovely additions to the family. :)

While we stood under the shade, Ana and Andrea bombarded dad with questions of why their kuya was under the grass. Haha. I always imagine how deep his voice or how tall he would’ve been considering he’d be turning 16 on the 24th! Mom also remembered how he never got to ride an airplane to visit another country or even within. But we all know well that he’s having the time of his life now! :)

Over the dinner table

  • Andrea: I love you, Ate Bea!
  • Me: What do you want?
  • Andrea: *smiles and points to the spam on my plate*
Two Mondays ago at Universal Studios. My lovely family came over to Singapore for a week! (Got to sleep with fluffy comfy sheets and aircon baby!) It was such a coincidence that they booked this trip over a year ago (my ticket included), long before I applied to study here. And the date fell right during the week of my semester break.
It was great seeing them again after two months. I miss them already, especially my rowdy little sisters. Also praying for my dad who’s flying to Japan this week for a conference that apparently wasn’t cancelled. Wish I could go too.

Someone got my family Magic Sing for Christmas. So, we have officially become the loud annoying videoke singing neighbors (well, my parents and sisters. hahaha. I’m just tumblring).

Oh wait. Other neighbors are videoke-ing too. Double ingay. :)) Happy Christmas!

(my parents are singing If I Ain’t Got You now. feel na feel pa) :| funny =))
