Manila, Manila

I arrived the morning of Tuesday, May 10. After breakfast with my lovely family (spambaconeggsforever) and a short nap, I went straight to MOA to see my girls and Justin Bieber. My first concert ever! We were standing and jumping on our chairs the whole time. #thereweretears

We all didn’t go home too happy though since Bieber was sick and there was drama at the VIP section where Bea F and her sisters watched. Erika, Elle and I were at Gold B - good enough. But we ate pasta, Ben & Jerry’s, toast and Cheetos until three in the morning at Bea’s so we ended up sleeping content enough. I love them too much.

Bea Fab saw him this close. Jelly.

The day after, Kristine slept over. We did a lot of catching up. Plus food, tv series and another lazy lazy day. Our summer days are numbered!

Skyped with Via the other night. I was only supposed to call for a few minutes. But we ended up staying on the line for three hours. Haha. We watched the prom episode of Glee for the nth time and danced to Friday.

I still can’t let go of Singapore. I haven’t changed where I live on FB yet. Heehee.

Oh and since we only have the little Alto (manual death!) because the Chevy is dying in the repair shop, I tried driving with the stick shift again. I’m desperate to get back to it because you know that I miss driving so much!

Slowly saying goodbye to Singapore

The semester is officially over for me. Today, I finished my last two final exams - consecutively. My brain has been fried to crispy strips of bacon. Right after, I did the laundry for the last time. Now, I’m starting to pack. *teaars* I’ve accumulated so much stuff over the past four months so I’m sending a box home ahead of me. Heehee. But my room is a mess and the closet is almost bare now. I won’t take down my polaroids and lanterns. Not yet.

I need Mcdonald’s.

Last few days at Central Library

I have the whole day and night to study and read fourteen chapters of Communication Management for the exam on Monday. But instead I’m on tumblr, twitter, observing others studying, straightening my pens and highlighters on the desk, listening to Ludovico Einaudi and Bieber, typing this.

I don’t know. I just keep thinking about how soon I’m leaving. I can’t. I’ll miss how everyone is so diligent. How the library is usually full that there’s no place to charge my laptop. I’ll miss watching the sunset from my favorite desk - one of the many wide and beautiful desks. Eating popcorn chicken at The Deck after class everyday. Seeing so many Europeans haha. The high tech printing room downstairs.

I’ll miss the lecture-tutorial format. How all professors send us their powerpoint presentations a day before the lecture so we can prepare. How they make sure we’re learning and catching up with lessons by emailing us regularly.

It’s such a blessing to have been able to study here at NUS, even if it was for a while. But no, no goodbyes yet. I have to study for finals first!

It’s three in the morning and I have to get up in another three hours. A few minutes ago, I switched my lanterns on and took out my Paris novel to help me fall asleep quicker. But now I’m beginning to hear the pitter-patter of rain on the window. Thank you, God my love. Now for a short but sound sleep.

I was looking through my blog archive and I found this. It just makes me miss Manila so much and the Chevy I used to drive. We had the most amazing relationship.
I loved how he would accept the challenge with me as we’d bravely make our way along the most chaotic avenues. I’d let him rest at beach beside La Salle and he would wait patiently for me to come back after class. We agreed on almost everything. When we’re both having a good day, we’d fly 120mph along skyway. And he would enjoy listening to me belt out to Katy Perry. When it’s late, he would let me drive through Mcdonald’s on the way home. He was there in my happiest moments. And in the worst, he’d even give me his steering wheel to cry on.
But he’s severely damaged now. (My bad. Haha.) I’m sorry, my baby Chevy.
I will always love you.

At the library

  • Hottie from France behind me.
  • Caught myself staring at his reflection on my laptop.
  • Creepy, Bea. Stop. Just.
  • Golden hour, beautiful as usual.
  • Supposed to be working on my final paper due tomorrow.
  • Tumblr is glue.
  • Closing the tumblr tab now.

Via and I saw this on my dash at 3am this morning. After ten minutes, we had a hot plate of them grilled cheese. :>
