Moodboard 01: Neutrals
There’s just something so inspiring about this clean and relaxed color palette. I’ve been slowly redecorating my room to match these tones. I think I can say I’m moving on from the prolonged pink phase I’ve had since high school haha. Can’t wait until it’s done for photos soon. I’ll be posting here more often. These frequent hiatuses have got to stop! ;)
A Hearty Brunch at La Creperie
Yesterday, Patty hosted (complete with goodie bags!) a sweet little brunch for us ThirtySix-O girls at this resto’s new branch tucked in the streets of Salcedo Village. The beautiful La Creperie! We arrived early, happy to find that we had the place to ourselves to take all the photos we wanted. Just couldn’t get enough of its interiors. It exudes the effortless chic vibe of Paris that I am completely in love with — relaxed neutrals and perfectly imperfect brick walls, all poshed up with chandeliers. And just look at that dainty menu!
Our le petit dejouner included French Onion soup with gruyere cheese, Savoyarde, Blanquette de Beouf, Crepe Brulee with strawberry and banana, and my favorite - the Paris-style rich and creamy hot chocolate called Angelina’s. We’re definitely coming back! It was a lovely break in the midst of a busy busy week.
La Creperie is located at V Corporate Center, Soliman St., Salcedo Village, Makati.
On the side
Back to the time I redecorated my room a third time and saved enough money to purchase that classic acrylic chair I fell in love with. The room looks a bit different now with more things on my side table though. This blog needs some serious updating! ;)
Last Thursday, Nico made a sweet (literally!) surprise visit. And he told me to hurry out to catch the sun for a picnic in the park. Happy I can finally cross that off my list! Apparently, he brought so much junk food. Chips, popcorn, Snickers and Reese’s ice cream (yes ice cream bars), even chicken nuggets. We’re so unhealthy. Next time, I’m thinking iced coffee and s’mores!
So grateful for rest days like this. Thank you for the surprise sunset session, Nico! :)
Hello! Yes, I tend to disappear lot haha. The past two months were swamped with projects that even sleep was a gift! The upside was that before the super busy weeks were a bunch of workation trips. Hoping this summer will be packed with it too!
1. Costa Pacifica, Baler
The TSO team went over to Costa Pacifica Baler, Aurora to shoot an AVP for the beautiful resort. Breakfast buffet was the best (s’mores pizza!). We also hiked up to Dimatubo Falls and climbed the 600-year-old Balete tree. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to surf again, unlike Jing (our master editor) who skipped breakfast for the waves!
2. Malasimbo, Mindoro
The week after Baler, we took a trip to Punta Fuego to cover the Malasimbo Arts and Music Festival. I tried out kesong puti (one of the famous Malasimbo snacks) for the first time and I was immediately hooked. Another highlight was when Jose Gonzales sang Heartbeats at the festival. He brought the crowd to tears!
3. Momo Beach House, Bohol
This one was a real 3-day vacation! Patty took Ja, Marge and I out to a quaint boutique resort called Momo Beach House in Bohol for a girly getaway in the middle of our busy March. It sure felt like home with the friendly staff, cozy reading nooks, yummy all-day breakfast, and the fact that we had the entire place to ourselves!
