Hello! Yes, I tend to disappear lot haha. The past two months were swamped with projects that even sleep was a gift! The upside was that before the super busy weeks were a bunch of workation trips. I think this summer will be packed with it too.
1. Costa Pacifica, Baler
The TSO team went over to Costa Pacifica Baler, Aurora to shoot an AVP for the beautiful resort. Breakfast buffet was the best (s’mores pizza!). We also hiked up to Dimatubo Falls and climbed the 600-year-old Balete tree. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to surf again, unlike Jing (our master editor) who skipped breakfast for the waves!
2. Malasimbo, Mindoro
The week after Baler, we took a trip to Punta Fuego to cover the Malasimbo Arts and Music Festival. I tried out kesong puti (one of the famous Malasimbo snacks) for the first time and I was immediately hooked. Another highlight was when Jose Gonzales sang Heartbeats at the festival. He brought the crowd to tears!
3. Momo Beach House, Bohol
This one was a real 3-day vacation! Patty took Ja, Marge and I out to a quaint boutique resort called Momo Beach House in Bohol for a girly getaway in the middle of our busy March. It sure felt like home with the friendly staff, cozy reading nooks, yummy all-day breakfast, and the fact that we had the entire place to ourselves!
A Few Favorite Things
Forever21 Dotted Sheer Top | RayBan specks | iPad mini | Forever21 mint clutch | Cotton On pants
After I found my trusty black rim glasses cracked in half in my bag one day, I was determined to find a better pair. And found one I did at a weekend signature sale across our office last December. The most perfect pair of RayBans! I got it at Php3,000 from an original price of Php10,000! Not bad at all. I usually wear contacts, but with these specks, I wouldn’t mind a day or two out wearing them.
I’ve always had a penchant for black and white. From the scheme of my room to my closet - brimming with neutrals! Don’t think I’ll ever be veering away from the classics. But I do need more hints of color in my wardrobe. Something to be more adventurous with this year.
Last Saturday was a special day. Nico had told me that he would be on an out-of-town shoot the entire weekend, including my birthday! (I didn’t admit to him how sad I was.) But instead of Kristine picking me up for a maniped date, it was Nico who pulled his car up in front of me. He rolled down his window, laughing and holding up a gopro camera, recording my usual laugh-cry response to almost everything.
He took me to Marcia Adams, a beautiful hidden restaurant in Tagaytay. We arrived just a little before dusk so we had the place to ourselves, which explains the weird behavior and me standing on my chair before each of the three courses to instagram and take videos. But leaving the resto was only the beginning of a lovely birthday surprise! :)
(Oh tomorrow, I’ll be sharing a timeline in photos of my eventful 2013 here. So happy to be filling this blog again after an entire year!)
